BAZAAR!!!! SHOPPING!!!!
oooohhh. It was my first time watching a dragon dance. It's so amazing how they all get up on that pole. All they have securing them are cloth ropes tied to their waist and to a hook on the pole. There's the bamboo one where the kid with the 'pearl' is balancing on..
My mode of transport throughout the whole trip. The aircon broke down 2 days before leaving Thailand. It was a windswept journey...My face was quite numb everytime we stopped cos we were going about an average speed of 110 to 120 km/h. Surprisingly the air in thailand is cooler than in Malaysia. I guess it's cos of our tarmac roads....
You wan massage miss? i gip you cheep cheep. only 200 baht. velly relaxing. velly cheep. you come now. velly good for your body.. another time lah
lookit the pretty umbrellas... they're all new. Sponsored by companies because Patong was one of the worst hit beaches. It's so pretty now. They say the red light areas have toned down after the tsunami and now it's more child friendly. Even topless people are now not really allowed anymore.
tuk tuk... tuk tuks in phuket are catered solely for tourists. You can see clearly that the locals do not use these tuk tuks. you have to bargain hard in phuket. but the ones in hatyai everyone uses...
A view of Hatyai city. I didn't know I would come to like a place so much.
A visit to Thailand is never complete without an elephant ride. See the elephant keeper on the right? He was posing for evey photo we took until he forgot to watch the elephant. It started to go towards a tree to eat. Tu-lah, asyik duk posing sampai lupa kerja... hehe
a gift from our elephant man. It's a bird...
More photos later. Didn't take many pictures with Hani's camera. I'll steal some from my mum's later. :)
